Faint Whispers of the Worthy

Faint Whispers of the Worthy

written by: Chahra Beloufa

Worthy souls do not deserve action
Those are the martyrs that die
simply of careless reaction
What a shameful Sparking sigh
Worthy souls live as shadows do
Transparent they grew
In the eyes not seen
Not felt or touched
Quite jeopardized through
What is their fault?
Deserving peace
In silent grace dwells their wrath
This underestimation when will it cease?
When will eyes read their plea
And all this unfairness freeze
their solemn right
springs from it a gregarious gentle light
A whisper through the endless night
Their worth in shadows, pure and bright
Let us look at the mirrors
Transcribe our deep horrors
To stand, refuse to ever bend
Hand in hand,
With Coriolanus mimicked strength
To defend.

A treaty of defense has to be signed
A treaty of dignity has to be aligned
As the treaty of savage ignorance prevails
Sails and contaminates all fairytales
Like a virus that can never be defined
There is the unspoken strength and endless youth
Found in those surviving souls,
That fight for a living,
That left their land for a penny saving
Their legacy, though dimly lit,
Burns fiercely in the heart of it
A testament to live unbowed
In the silence of this crowd
