GHOST TRAIN

GHOST TRAIN

There’s a dark train leaving soon
The ticket paid for long ago
All the passengers are ghosts
To haunt my journey as I go
Riding towards an altered plane
The distance greater than the miles
A point of view that’s just a stain
Within the consequence of aisles
Between reality as seen
Far removed from heart and soul
To where we look behind the scenes
Of tragedies as they unfold
In wicked layers year by year
In flashbacks of the life I missed
In lost degrees of pain and tears
In old scars running round my wrist
A white light shining down the tracks
My travel bags are full of bones
With bodies carried on my back
So I will never ride alone
