The time we never thought would come,
Has finally arrived.
I stand here, helpless,
As time takes you away from me.
The moments we always dreaded
Are now here; I feel you slipping,
No matter how tightly I try to hold you,
The void and emptiness linger,
As time pulls you away from me.
The time we tried so hard to ignore,
Has finally closed in.
Remember your promise?
You’d always be my shining star
In the darkest sky.
Why then are you leaving now,
When I’m trapped in the dungeons of time?
I am helpless, alone, devastated,
As time takes you away from me.
The time you always joked about
Has taken you away now.
The sun in my life has set forever,
So goodbye, my love.
Guide me as I embrace
The darkness that time has left behind.
