Tick…tock, time breathes with the swing
Of the pendulum, hypnotic and slow
Weaving a tapestry of futures awaiting
The path to the future to grow

Tick…tock, picture my father, winding the motion
As before him, his father did too
The link to the bygones, eyes clouded with emotion
A strand of the past pulling through

Tick…tock, highlights the silence, marking its presence
Polished mahogany in the age of pine
A time machine, showing signs of its senescence
Reminding me of mine…
