Hate The Hatred

written by: Edward Ponce

In hatred I found myself standing
Seeking, crying, hopelessly denying
Trying to convince myself of who I can be
Denying the fact that this is the real me

Never did I trust people around me
And you think it would be that easy?
Trying to make myself believe that this will just pass
No! It feels like I’m a broken glass

My very self I cannot forgive
In hatred I shall forever live
Take chance that’s what they say
All I can do now is hope and pray
