Lying awake
Cold as the sea
Waves are emotions
Crashing around me
Old grievances
Like a stingray piercing my heart
And wounding my soul
Wanting to let go
But holding on tight
I ask for forgiveness
And say goodnight
To your photo etched in gold
Dreaming of better times
We once had
Not knowing what to do
Now you are dead
