March, a haiku poem by Kim Marks at Spillwords.com

March

March

written by: Kim Marks

Rain fractures snow’s mask,
Earth puncturing iced order,
Defacing stillness

Winter’s slow defeat
On a sodden battlefield
Spring’s sluggish dawning

Unkempt and muddied
Spikes of green betwixt puddles
Draped by morning fog

In addition to wrestling words, Kim spends her time wrangling her family of five. She is probably composing something in the carpool line right now.
