Night Tea with Honey

Night Tea with Honey

written by: Bartholomew Barker

There are words I’ll never
say in the daylight
clear as cold water

I sweeten my tea with honey
stir until it disappears
steeped with secrets

And when the sky is dark
as my drink, I’ll whisper
in your exquisite ear
