there’s poison in
this sun,
something about
the way it settles on
my skin
something about
things it whispers
to me
it tells me that i
am black,
that i am bad and bound
all day it mocks me
i long for dusk so
i can fade away,
for sleep so I
can forgive dragons
i need to feed
to survive this
turntable called life
