Paranoia or Truth?

They got cameras everywhere
They can study and follow you and me,
They got CCTV our lives are recorded on their screens
They can manipulate the truth as they please,
Using this big brother technology
They can use it as they please and can do it with ease,
They can watch you through our phones
Through our laptops in our homes,
There are today so very few what I’d call safe zones,
Where they cannot monitor us and so manipulate the truth
To make the narrative fit the crime to set up me and you,
And you think it’s something they won’t do
So you don’t believe these powers they won’t abuse,
But history tells a different story and that should worry me and you
Yes they can manipulate the truth,
They can decide, how people view the proof,
When they need somebody to fit the crime
So don’t let this happen to you,
Through their use of CCTV and every time you view a screen
Don’t believe that they can’t record and see,
All the lives led by you and me
And have the technologies to manipulate and deceive.
