spark of mytho-poetic
dreams, southern icon.

Dreams of Southern T’ang:
Canopus in black jade night-
realm of The Red Crow.
***
Dawn clouds – spires and spines.
Night sea lights – glimmer and gleam.
The views from Lingnan.
***
Come to Ghost Market
by the sea, before cock-crow;
rare treasures to find.
***
In silken nights near
Nam-Viet, vermilion tears
drip from red candles.
***
The Fire God’s realm-
vermilion, cinnabar, red;
mystic southern land.
