I'm 24 years old, born and raised in Finland, although my first language is Swedish. I'm primarily a novelist but I've been writing poetry for a few years. I'm kicking off my writing career this fall with my debut novel (in Swedish), and also aiming to one day publish some poetry in print. Initially I wrote some edgy (and, frankly, pretty bad) stuff to cope with my Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and my manic depression. Today I'm doing well thanks to medication and my newfound stability has allowed me to create freely. I'm so thankful for my life. I write regularly on wordpress as HJDpoetry (visit me there) and aim to keep spreading my voice across the writing community.
