SONG OF THE HAUNTED

SONG OF THE HAUNTED

I died, but I am,
Still here lingering;
With the mist— coexisting.

Waiting for that brave soul,
To look past, the horror,
Of the dark — conceiving.

Stare back right through my eyes;
Behind the flowing raven colored crown,
See my tears — cascading.

Hear my voice and not the howl.
Listen to the lament,
Of my soul — suffering.

Tired and alone in an endless loop,
I stayed but now, I do not even know,
“What is it that I want and still hoping for?”

Help me remember, who I am, why I’m here,
Feared, when it is me who’s haunted,
By the nightmares I wore on my skin.

Free me, and I shall spare you,
Of the torment that reflects my own;
Let this existence be just an illusion.

Help gravity pin me back under,
An earthen bed laced with Calla Lilies.
Buried throughout eternity, forgotten!
