Springtime

Springtime

written by: Enrico Barigazzi

Tomorrow I’ll have seen
a blackbird chirping
on a magnolia bough
its flowers are going to show off
their colours
the perfect garden of my lost purity
is growing up
while the wisteria is gradually
surrounding the hidden world of my imagination
protecting it like a ring of violet petals
all troubles I’ve fallen into
they’ve been put into the suitcases of the past
all faults I’m atoning for
I’ve faced them on the long walk of life
all dreams all hopes I’m seeking
they’ve been looked after
from a waning world of ashes
by the hedge around my poetical Arcadia.
