Stand By Me

If you’ve ever been derided
Stand by me
Felt left out in a cold breeze
Stand next to me
Taken on more than your burdens
Stand beside me
Together we can see
In all our unities
No one will ever feel the sting
Of singularity
If your configuration is confusion
Stand by me
Strived daily to do the right thing
Stand close to me
If you Spoke then marched against injustice
Stand in formation with me
I heard today evil waits for us to remain silent
Sewing our mouths shut with compliance
Those that speak up
Please Stand by me
Those that act will preserve our dignity
Won’t you
Why don’t you
I beg
Stand with me
