Sun Rises

Sun Rises

written by: Mohamed El Houssaini

I’m so pure now
With zero malignity, zero vengeance and strife
I buried the hatchet and forgot
All the misery and grief

The night may be too long
but surely the sun rises last-ditch
no matter how mountains are high
there are always ways to climb or fly

No more ferocious, sullen or ignoble gaze
There will be only love and gaiety
Felicitously our tears will flow
there will be no place for a woe

foes are cursed by rancor
But we are weaponized
By pureness and love
that will never let us lose
