Jan Sargeant has been writing for many years but only since retiring from university lecturing in 2016 has she found the time to devote to her own fiction and poetry. Co-writer and co-editor of an anthology of poems, “Jigsaw”, in 2020, she is emeritus poetry editor for The Quiver. Jan is an accomplished artist, painting as WWS – Woman with Stick - who discovered painting after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2016 but she has gone on to have work included in exhibitions across the UK and in New York. Poet and artist first; Parkinson’s sufferer second; she lives with a husband, three cats and a very small dog in a beautiful conservation village in West Yorkshire, England.
