The Thread
written by: Mohamed El Houssaini
It is so dark and long,
that trees engulf and worsen the sight.
A beast, the head of a bull and the body of a man
Collecting all his power to burst
And steal my precious soul through fear.
Fear, I still see nothing but fear.
Suddenly, a drop of hope fell my way,
It is a weapon to kill the beast.
Like Theseus and Ariadne’s thread.
