Terra Invicta

Terra Invicta

written by: Stephen Ferrett

In the vast cosmos, slowly orbiting a small star, transcending other worlds in the fight for life
Our blue green spherical sanctuary, eons of Mother Nature’s nurtured care
Millennia of fire and ice, age old violence, nourishing then destroying life, rebirthing changed forms
Fragility, exposed and fading, the thin blue line that wraps and protects, erodes
Global fire and ice, extraterrestrial impaction, armageddons repelled
Homosapien invasion, humanity’s cancerous spread seeking to destroy.
Intelligence masked by ignorance, locust-like destruction, poisoning heavenly life blood
This blue-green paradise fades, beauty stripped bare.
The planetary cycle of near death and magnificent rebirth, prevails.
Human demise inevitable, transient inhabitation, global scars heal through millennia, broken but never beaten.
