I urge life to move slower, because there’s a last battle to be fought.
I haven’t burnt like sun yet, I have fallen a number of times, I have to rise and shine now.
I haven’t touched the moon, the moon that removes darkness and fills the sky with light at night.
Again, I urge life to move slower, because there’s a last battle to be fought.
I haven’t collected the scattered stars yet,
I haven’t brought these storms to rest yet,
I haven’t crossed the paths, I wanted to.
I haven’t arrived at my destination yet.
I urge life to move slower, because there’s a last battle to be fought.
I haven’t fixed my problems with people yet,
There’s an immense darkness in the life of few, I haven’t cleared them yet.
I urge life to move slower, because there’s a last battle to be fought.
I haven’t converted my tears into smile yet,
I am the part of this crowd, I haven’t become the reason for this crowd yet,
The success story of mine is incomplete, I haven’t completed it yet.

There are stories, I haven’t changed the unhappy ending yet,

आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी
एक आखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
गिरते गिरते थक चुका हुँ, अब सम्भलना बाकी है।
जिस चाँद ने रातों में रौशनी भरी है, उसे छूना बाकी है।
उस जलते सूरज की तरह जलना बाकी है
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी एक आखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
जमीन पे बिखरे तारों को समेटना बाकी है,
इन झूलती हवाओं को ठहराव में लाना बाकी है।
जिन रास्तों का रुख लिया नहीं, आज उन रास्तों पर चलना बाकी हैं
अस मंजिल को पाना बाकी है
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी एक आखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
कुछ रूठे हुए को मनाना बाकी है,
कुछ रिशतों को जोड़ना बाकी है,
अंधेरा बहुत है, कुछ लोगों की जिन्दगी में उजाला लाना बाकी है,
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी एक अाखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
आँखों की नमी को मुस्कुराहठ बनाना बाकी है,
इस भीड़ का हिस्सा हुँ, भीड़ की वजह बनना बाकी है
अभी कामयाबी की दास्तान अधुरी है, उसे मुक्कमल करना बाकी है
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी एक अाखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
उन दुख भरी कहानियों का अंत बदलना बाकी है
मेरी खुद की कहानी का अंत लिखना बाकी है
हाथों की लकीरों को अपने हिसाब से जोड़ना बाकी है
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी एक अाखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
कुछ कर्ज़ चुकाना बाकी है,
किसी के खुशी की वजह बनना बाकी है
जिन सपनों को रौंद आया हुँ, उन्हें पूरा करना बाकी है
कुछ फर्ज निभाना बाकी है
आहिस्ता चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी
एक आखिरी जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
ठोड़ा ठहर के चल ऐ ज़िन्दगी,
अभी एक जंग लड़ना बाकी है।
