The Frost Desert

The Frost Desert

written by: Simone Solito

Adverse wind in a sandstorm,
how much frost

Frost in your years,
spent paying for youth at a high cost

Sailing rough seas,
looking at myself in the mirror: I was lost

Lost in that silence of the soul,
where the cold was the worst

But everything flows, and I will smile
in the memory of that frost
