The Sermon on the Mount

My uncle Billy looked like
George Harrison during the 70’s;
un-kept shoulder length hair with a beard and mustache.
As a boy, he was a role model for me,
not because of drugs and rock n roll,
but for his unique ability to speak the
truth softly and without fanfare.
The Sermon on the Mount was
given at Woodstock, in Liverpool
and on my back porch,
with my Uncle Billy.
Giovanni Fruncillo is a poet and professor at a college in Northern New Jersey.
