Too Much Wine

Too Much Wine

I had a dream last night.
Maybe too much wine
At my daughter’s wedding.

I fell down a deep hole
And looked up at the
Shrinking light.

Faces around the rim
Watched me fall.
Then they returned
To the party without me.

And I didn’t seem to mind.
It was quiet down there.
