True Love
written by: Harry Taylor
True love forever blossoms
And true love never dies
It lingers in your children
It’s in a grandchild’s eyes
It passes down the gene pool
Like the colour of your hair
You may think it’s hiding sometimes
But it’s always lurking there
It awakens with a kiss
Or the twinkling of an eye
It flourishes in moonlight
It grows upon a sigh
It banishes all hatred
Gets more powerful with time
It lives on and on forever
This love of yours and mine
This love of yours and mine.

I’ve been writing for a few years now, poems and humorous stories. Had a book published about my growing up in the Black Country. A second book of football stories that I co-wrote with my son. Finally, a poetry book using poems from members of a poetry group I’m in, with a few of my own.
