Truth Serum
written by: Robbie Masso
Decipher my drunken letter.
My intentions were good.
Take out the alcohol fumes
until it’s understood.
Bring the letter so close to your face
you can smell the smoke from my Camel.
Don’t be so quick to judge.
Read between the ramble.
I know you’re mad,
you have every right, too.
I shouldn’t need to be drunk
to say “I love you.”
