The pastels and the subtle shades
Of sailing ship and foaming waves
Still life drips from artist’s brush
Each tone adds a whispered hush

In delicate stroke and muted hues
In sea foam green and quiet blues
The wash of color a liquid part
A canvas splashed by lovely art

Eden reflected in sunny days
Idyllic scenes so well portrayed
Where beauty is seen at its best
Painted in a touch of softness

You leave enough for each to see
A moment captured less vividly
Expression flowed like water true
Powerful, yet so subdued
