We Hyperboreans

We Hyperboreans
are forever destined
to strive for the forbidden,
search for the forbidden,
hunt for the hidden and forbidden
beyond the ice,
beyond the void,
beyond the polar wasteland
of static dualism
dispersed by herd mentality.
We Truth-Seekers
are forever cursed
to struggle with ourselves,
contend with ourselves,
discipline the spirit within ourselves—
Oh, what burden this is!
The lure of perfect clarity…
Oh, what torment in me!
The enticement of sovereign reality…
In rhapsodic freedom
multiplicity of colors elevated;
our shadow nature painfully illuminated.
