When The Waves Part

written by: Jose A. Tovar

When the waves part
and I walk the ocean path,
you will know that I have made
the impossible possible:
finding you at last,
O mysterious
and mischievous
Maid of the Sea.
Your sapphire tail splashing
here, there, and everywhere
sweet-scented drops
of fatal flirtations.
