Where is My Bag

Where is My Bag

Is it up stairs, is it down stairs
In the kitchen, in the hall
On the table by the wall
Is it really there at all

On a chair, beneath the table
On the couch beneath the rug
Search the bedroom, nothing in there.
Descending stairs, and looking where.

Did I leave it in the closet
In the press, or on the floor
Did you see me with it lately
Or did I bring it home at all

Round the house I search in vain.
Running here, running there
Where was I, when last I saw it
I must stop, and start again

I must have left it in the Car
