Winter Kissed Dream

Winter Kissed Dream

written by: Karen E. Bradley

Walking amidst snow covered trees
our breath freezing upon the air
hand in hand past Christmas lights
strewn upon houses with festive fanfare.

Children’s laughter echoes
catching snowflakes upon tongues
snowball fights, sled rides
festivities have begun.

Jolly snowmen all shapes and sizes
as far as the eye can see
charcoal eyes, carrot nose
stick arms thrown wide in glee.

Glancing up towards the heavens
the stars are all agleam
my heart is full and happy
as we stroll along through our winter kissed dream.
