The Fertility Dance of Spring

Lime green foliage,
hints of muted pink and
the snowy white petals of
the dogwood tree,
dancing,
the fertility dance of Spring.
The dark snake swimming long S’s
and the Falcon darting from tree to tree,
the rippling lake below and
the fir tree behind me.
The pulse of the earth and
the muddy heart of life,
speak through everything.
And Wordsworth’s shadow
casts its sacred spell over me.
