Discomfort

Discomfort

they are bile
they are illness fill
unhappiness is their sweat
from them
tones are only pinched
and invective always spittled

they’re blind to discussion
explanatory text
three words is all they can read or hear
all they can stand
before the bile forces itself up
brimming anger leaking
through squint eyes
and the ejaculated words start
their ceaseless tirade
where conducted hands are waved daggers

the unnature of the bile
must escape, infect, spread
it’s the only ease to the stricken
their release
to see someone else
bent, taught, snapping
sodden phlegm vomiting
someone else rent
with unhappiness
pain, confusion
this anger

only then can they accept
the torrid discomfort
and torture of mind
for a short while
