A Life Deferred

A Life Deferred

A Life deferred,
A Dream set aside,
A Truth ignored.

When a Life deferred,
Confusion reigns,
life like badly mixed jello salad.

A Dream set aside,
stuffed into a trunk,
lid slammed shut, trunk locked.

Truth ignored.
Anger becomes a volcano,
Spewing super heated gases of self-loathing.

Years of anguish,
Heaping misery on everyone,
Hiding from myself and the world.

Life coming alive,
Dreams becoming reality,
Truth a fresh ocean breeze.

A Life fulfilled.
