Oblivion
written by: James Walmsley
The dreams of mankind, they shout they stir,
dreams whisper, mock; they taunt they glare.
The dreams are of ambition then need,
dreams become want, want becomes greed.
A new day is always a new beginning,
the day to carry on hurting and killing.
Not dreaming now this is real-time,
awake to all of it enjoying the crime.
When the night comes the dreams return,
the madness manifests, ambitions burn.
Who is there to stop this insanity, You?
are you going to stay silent, let it Brew?
Apathy is just a tacit way to surrender.
If you do there is nothing to remember.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
This poem is a summation of the plight the world is suffering.
