Anna Bivens
- Where do you originate from?
I was born in Berlin, Germany, but have spent most of my life in Maryland. I am hoping to retire to France within the next few years.
- What do you cherish most about the place you call home?
I live in the country, and love the open spaces, the sky and the animals.
- What ignites your creativity?
Strong emotions, minute occurrences, silence.
- Do you have a favorite word and could you incorporate it into a poetic phrase?
While I do not have a favorite word, I love to use words in unusual ways.
For example, this is part of a poem I recently wrote:
“…and when the every sleeps, I am that sound.”
- What is your pet peeve?
People who follow without questioning why.
- How would you describe the essence of Anna Bivens?
Circumstances made it necessary for me to play many roles over my lifetime. At the core, I am a creative soul that often visits dark and lonely places. If I can touch you with my art, then I am fulfilled.
I have spent decades earning a living, without the opportunity to develop my creative side. I have recently reordered my priorities.
