a glance

you turned my head

a sound

my ear was bent

you stole my heart

without consent

And so it went –

the days and years

of laughs and tears

just like the ocean’s

ebbs and flows

crests and falls

the highs the lows

And so it went –

I loved you best

we laughed and cried

we grew in days

and to the end

you kept my love

always and forever

the apple of my eye
