Thirst

Thirst

There’s an appetite beneath
Grabs you inside, deep
Until satisfied,
you’re denied sleep.
Can’t simply eat
to meet or feed
its need.
The hunger that thunders
is for the Bleed.

Bleeding ink
illustrating pure emotion
and simple thought
notions
Stains in the grain
that can’t be erased
by pencil top motion
Scars carved like art,
Chiseled words
into scribbled verse
Brittle hurt
from the middle lurks
starving to be purged
The thirst
that stirs
will be served
or it becomes
a curse
coursing
coarsely
to encourage
coercion
while
collecting
a
collateral-damaged
stained barrage of bandages
to add to the
collage of random bits…

…it never sleeps.
