The Mirrors of The Soul

The Mirrors of The Soul

written by: Mary Bone

Your eyes were so beautiful,
they reflected love, regret, and memories.
I know your eyes are where it’s peaceful,
they’ve followed a well trodden course.

The Lord gave you great windows-
“The mirrors of the soul.”
The last time they were open,
my emotions were out of control.

You were one of His great creations.
Now your radiance still glows.
Your eyes were like the stars above-
Illuminating nations.
