NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A page sprayed and streaked with flowing pigment, caused by taking a spray bottle to a page of greys and a black marker. The colour is a tangled nest, darkest at the edges and lightening at the center, but strung with vine and branch-like trails left by flowing drops. The words of the haiku occupy the central part of the image, blurred, scratchy, and disjointed, mostly rendered in water-soluble marker, but finished with an acrylic marker.
