A Call for Chance

Sun, just one
one ray of light
grace one of these
little ones
these teardrops
on blue palms
a strike or beam
the last of rain
and paint for me
a rainbow
so one more time
I can forget
the pain.
Moon, just once
once clouds close in
shine once again
and pull me in
these tides once more
erase the dents
they made on sand
once under waves
out comes clean slate
so once anew
I can begin
again.
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
Sometimes it takes a shout to the sky to let out a wish.

I'm just Evelyn.
I see an immense amount of beauty and destruction in the universe, and I believe that everything has a deeper meaning if we only care to look closer.
I always have a poem waiting in the pocket of my mortal jeans.
