A Mouse In My House

I try to sleep, but toss and turn
My mind is racing, fit to burn
Absurd as it may seem to be
A mouse came in, to visit me
I was isolated and alone
As all had left me, home alone.
Sitting in my easy chair
One could say, without a care
A vision or mirage, I spied
Out of the corner of my eye
So quick was he, in his flight
My thin screen, froze in fright
A dash from wall to door
A race around my floor
As bold as he could be
Such a sight to see
No comfort can I find
Until this mouse is found
An intruder, in my home
A mouse about my house
