A Novel Dream

A Novel Dream

written by: Introverted Thoughts

In forgotten realms they reside,
Tales of old,
That bring to life
Memories of what once was.

Life’s fallen autumn leaves,
Show me glorious pasts
Laid in blatant disregard.

Of lives that thrived on regret,
I write a new song of hope
With melodies that play,
On the wavelengths of fantasies.

The skies bear witness
To a revolution that never was,
For dreams that grew old too fast.

We turn back time
to regain the youth of beauty
We once lost, and dare
To dream, a dream anew.
