A Small Song
written by: Jack Galmitz
a small song
you come around
you hang on
I love how you get down
I write it down
your words with my hand
your thoughts on my mouth
we get along we’re run down
a 45 with a backup band
a howling sax a snare
birds stop in midair to hear
that sound to get it down
I love it when we take it downtown
all night we slow dance
you whisper in my ear
what song is that
it pins me down
you wear me out
