A courageous soul
her broken heart heals
sad eyes smile
resolve turns to steel
Her universe heavy
a two-tonne load
she rises above it
refuses to implode
Braving each storm
igniting life’s fire
in a league of her own
she’s the quiet outlier
The world isn’t ready
what little they know
a woman of substance
ready, set, gooooo……
Kathy (Moorehead) Sherban resides in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, she is a Poet and Author of Accidental Poetess, Poetic PicaZZo’s and Brain Babel: A Poet’s NoiZe. Her work has also been featured in several global anthologies and international literary magazines. As a recent retiree her time is spent volunteering, writing poetry and exploring the world, creating memories, enjoying each new adventure while drawing inspiration from the variety of customs and cultures experienced.
