And Then What Is Love?

And Then What Is Love?

written by: Lori Marchesin

The rhythm of two hearts beating as one,
a harmony defying time.

It is the wind embracing the waves,
stirring the tides
merging strength and tenderness.

It is walking hand in hand
in a thunderstorm,
a silent promise never to let go.

It is the quiet dance of autumn leaves,
offering themselves to the earth
so that life may bloom again.

It is a smile that speaks louder than words,
a seed waiting in darkness,
longing for warmth to sprout.

Love does not break under the weight of challenges:
it becomes strength, a bridge
to what once seemed unattainable.

It is the sky dressing itself in stars each night,
an embrace asking for nothing.

Love is acceptance without judgment,
the lifeblood flowing through the branches of life,
the energy urging us to fight,
to believe and hope.

And the birth of a child is a true miracle,
it is Love that takes shape and breath.
