Angel of Death

In darkness I stand
crying, weeping
calling out your name
Who stopped the music
and killed the birds
and blocked the sun
Cradle me to sleep
in this world of chaos
perhaps I’ll dream a beautiful dream
Carry me
and fly me away
over the rainbow
Keep me close to your heart
wrap me in your wings
and hide me from the world
