Anne Gruner is a former CIA intelligence analyst and lawyer who writes poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction, including a Pushcart-nominated short story in "Constellations: Journal of Poetry and Fiction," and a prize-winning poem in "Humans of the World." Her poetry has appeared in "Beltway Poetry Quarterly," "Plum Tree Tavern," "Jalmurra," "Written Tales," "Spillwords," "Superpresent Magazine," and "Old Mountain Press" anthologies. She is working on her debut poetry collection. Her other work has appeared in "Hippocampus Magazine," "Avalon Literary Review," "Silver Spoon Magazine," "Chicken Soup for the Soul" and "Stories from Langley" anthologies, "The Cipher Brief," "The Intelligencer: Journal of U.S. Intelligence Studies," and she has a short story forthcoming in "The Persimmon Tree." She lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband and two golden retrievers.
