Bambu
An Anne G
Original Poem
Flowering member
of their tribe
perennial of
the evergreen
Sea of grass
upright and tall
bends and sways
with grace and ease
Lofty reeds
touched by the wind
repeat the sounds
of castanets
Bambu cane
of hollow heart
tensile strength
in every blade
Nobility
in green attire
symbol of true
gentlemen

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
