Be You

Be You

Sink into the bath tub, like an ice cube in your gin,
Find a little space and time in which you can begin,
Give yourself the gift of only being you,
You are quite enough, that, for sure, is true.

Spend time with your friends, laughing hard and loud,
Check on them when times are hard, if they are under cloud,
Give your friends the wondrous gift of being yours,
Bring them with you, landing on safer shores.

Be the magic in the tin, let your sparkles fly,
Hold your head up straight and look the world right in the eye,
Nobody else can do the things that you can do,
Because nobody else is quite as marvellous as you.
