Because the New House

written by: Joe Russo

Because the new house called
For new things,
Because you promised
That we could start over,
With everything,
Because you brought in
Two chairs, (THREE?)
Black and a high chair
And lined them up
Against the wall
And because we didn't need that extra chair,
I didn't cry, happy,
Cried, what are we doing?
